One of the easiest mistakes to make when buying replacement coils is assuming that an Innokin coil will fit an Innokin vape simply because the brand name matches. Unfortunately, it isn't that simple.

Innokin has several different coil families, designed for particular tanks and devices. When someone asks us at VapeGala which Innokin coil they need, we normally start with one question: Which exact device or tank are you using?

Start With the Device or Tank, Not the Coil

Before looking at resistance, identify the exact Innokin model you're using. Something described simply as an “Innokin coil” isn't enough information to establish compatibility.

Innokin T18E Coils

Our current Innokin T18E coils information identifies compatibility with T18E, T18II, T18X, T18E Pro, T22 Pro and T22E.

Once you've confirmed the correct coil family, check which resistance is suitable for your exact setup. Physical and device compatibility comes first.

Which Coils Fit the Innokin T22 Pro?

The Innokin Endura T22 Pro sits within the T18E/M18-style replacement ecosystem. Current VapeGala product information identifies compatibility with 1.5Ω and 1.7Ω T18E/M18 coils.

Innokin Zenith and Z-Coils

The Innokin Zenith coils are part of Innokin's Z-Coil ecosystem. Current VapeGala product information identifies these coils with compatible Zenith and Zlide tanks, while the Innokin GO Z tank also uses Innokin Z/Zenith coils.

Which Coils Fit the Innokin GO Z?

For the current GO Z products stocked by VapeGala, the relationship is straightforward: GO Z Kit → GO Z Tank → Innokin Z/Zenith Coil.

The Innokin GO Z Starter Kit uses a refillable GO Z tank, which uses Innokin's Z-Coil family.

Innokin Prism S Coils

Our Innokin Prism S coils are another separate replacement family. Current VapeGala information identifies compatibility with products including the Endura T20-S, EZ Watt and compatible Apex kits and tanks.

The Innokin T20S tank uses Prism S coils.

Does the Innokin Endura V Use Replacement Coils?

The Innokin Endura V doesn't use a traditional separate replacement coil in the same way as a T18E or GO Z setup. It uses VCAP pods with the coil built into the pod.

What Does Coil Resistance Mean?

Once you've found the correct coil family, you'll usually have another choice to make: resistance, measured in ohms (Ω). There isn't one resistance that is automatically “best” across all Innokin devices.

First establish which coil family belongs to your device or tank, then choose a supported resistance for that setup. Our beginner's guide to vape coils explains the basics.

Can I Use a Different Brand of Coil in an Innokin Vape?

We wouldn't assume so. A similar resistance or similar-looking shape isn't enough to prove compatibility. Unless the exact tank/device and replacement relationship has been verified, we'd treat compatibility as unconfirmed.

Coil, Tank or Pod: What Actually Needs Replacing?

If you're using a tank with a removable coil, such as a GO Z, you can normally replace the compatible coil while keeping the tank. If you're using a GO S with its built-in coil, the replacement approach is different. And if you're using an Endura V, the heating element is built into its VCAP pod.
